Prompt expansion is on by default, so a short brief gets expanded before generation. You can turn it off if the prompt is already the shot you want. Animate requires a still. Generate does not. There is no last-frame control and no native-audio option. You get picture; sound is something you add separately.
What it's good for
A quick MiniMax shot with a fixed length: a cutaway, an establishing beat, or a piece of motion under a voiceover you already have. Because there is so little to configure, iteration is mostly rewriting the prompt and looking at the result.
