Pika 2.2 is Pika Labs’ short-form video model. Pika has been aimed at phone-sized clips from the start. You can generate from a prompt, animate a still, or run a transition between stills.
Generate and animate are 5 or 10 seconds, at 1280×720 or 720×1280. Transition takes a sequence of images, at 720p or 1080p, plus a duration and a prompt for each beat so the cut can land on each still in order. There is no native-audio flag and no identity pack. Generate and animate do not take an end frame.
What it's good for
Social clips in landscape or vertical 720p. Transition is for when you already have the stills — a product carousel, a before-and-after — and you need them to move into each other. It is built for short clips, not long cinematic generates.
