Depth Anything Image
Depth Anything Image converts a source image into a grayscale representation of relative scene depth. Brighter areas indicate closer surfaces, while darker areas indicate greater distance. Object boundaries and the arrangement of scene layers provide spatial information for subsequent editing.
The supplied image determines the composition and geometry represented in the map. That depth pass can become an additional input to generation, compositing, or 3D tools, giving those workflows a way to treat foreground and background separately.
What it's good for
Compositors can use the map to control haze with distance or apply focus effects across different scene layers. Depth-conditioned image generation can use it as structural guidance drawn from a reference image.
For motion design, the map provides a starting point for parallax movement from a still. It also supports displacement experiments and early scene-reconstruction studies in 3D production.
