IC-Light
IC-Light changes the lighting in an existing photograph. The source image establishes the subject, and a text description defines the desired illumination, such as warm sunlight or diffuse studio light. Directional control provides another way to shape where the light falls.
The edit focuses on illumination while preserving subject detail and surface appearance. This makes it useful for exploring how light changes the reading of a photograph: softer illumination can give a portrait a gentler mood, while side lighting can emphasize form and texture.
What it's good for
Catalog teams can work toward a consistent lighting treatment across product photographs. Portrait editors can explore different lighting styles using the same source image, and art directors can assess atmospheric treatments for campaign imagery. Interior photographs can receive a warmer or brighter treatment for property presentations, with the existing room serving as the basis for the edit.
