Ideogram V4
Ideogram V4 is Ideogram’s stills model, from the San Francisco lab, released around June 2026. The company is known for typography: words in an image come out as readable letterforms rather than gibberish.
It generates from a prompt. You can optionally pass one reference image with a strength from 0 to 1, default 0.8. Quality is low, medium, or high. Resolution is 1K or 2K. Formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Aspect ratios include 21:9 and 9:21 as well as the usual social set.
There is no multi-image edit and no background removal on this model.
What it's good for
Posters, logos, thumbnails, and anything where the lettering is the point of the frame. Without text in the picture it is a capable graphic stills model. With text in the picture, that is the job it was built for.
